Psychological Injuries

Healing psychological injuries involves healthy psychological integration after an abnormal experience. The clinicians of CPFS are very aware that many people experience tragic situations and events that inflict psychological and emotional injuries. When treating such injuries, our clinicans address a range of symptoms that could result including depression, anxiety, hypervigilance, irritability, excessive guilt feelings, intrusive thoughts and sleep disturbance.

Our clinicians have a wealth of experience with providing treatments that promote the effective healing of such psychological injuries so that they are not life-diminishing but rather become life-enhancing, including but not limited to:

  • Trauma caused by natural disaster, medical events, violence, and combat
  • Post-traumatic growth
